Pete and I always try to have a nice sit down dinner together on Sunday. It makes sense since it's my favourite day of the week and a great way to spend it is making and having dinner with my boo.
It's finally starting to feel like Spring in Toronto, so naturally we were craving something fresh and delicious. We decided to make a healthy pico de gallo, and bbq some steak and put everything on a baked tostada! They were SO good.
What you'll need for the whole meal - tostadas, sour cream, cheese, lime, steak, tomato, cucumber, red onion, avocado, olive oil, and fresh pepper.
How to make the pico de gallo :
Mince tomato, cucumber, red onion and avocado. Mix the veggies up in a bowl, drizzle some olive oil on top as well as fresh ground pepper. Mix everything together and then squeeze lime juice on top.
On top of the tostadas : steak, pico de gallo, a bit of cheese and light sour cream.
You can easily take the steak out and make these a veggie meal. I think we're going to do that next time!
We had water with lime and wine to drink with it! It was delicious and a fun meal to make, which I am sure we will have again!
