Oh hi there! It's been a while since I've hosted a giveaway and I am so excited about this one ♥

I paired up with Alan from Say Yes Diamonds to giveaway once of these beautiful pastel ring boxes (ooh la la, aren't they just amazing?!)

First, I should talk a bit about why this is a special one to me and about my wedding ring(s)! So, when Pete proposed to me in Ireland back in 2015, he wanted to make sure it was a surprise for me. Since we had never talked about rings, and I had no idea what I wanted, he popped the question with his Nana's wedding ring (how sweet right?!) and he said we could make my dream ring.

Well, let me tell you - I had no idea what that ring was. I love jewellery (esp rings) and knew I wanted something unique, and fun and something that felt very "me". There's also really special about doing something custom and knowing you're the only one with that exact ring! When we met Alan he was so amazing and great to work with, and together we created those gold beauties you see below. We used some diamonds and gold from our grandmothers old wedding rings (I just love that part so much) and Alan literally brought  my dreams to life with these rings! The engagement ring is perfect and classic and I love the yellow gold too! I knew I wanted two bands (because I am extra like that, lol) and they just fit so perfectly together.

I get compliments on my ring all the time, it's actually so lovely! I meet strangers in coffee shops and stores who just admire it so much - and it's all because of Say Yes Diamonds bringing my dream to life. 

When we got married I reallllllly wanted a pretty pastel ring box but found them hard to find, especially in Canada. Well, Say Yes just did a beaaaautiful re-brand and these boxes are just perfect!

oh hello there + happy tuesday!

Today is 11 days until our wedding! ♥ woah baby!

This past Sunday I went to a seriously amazing wedding market in Toronto. I know that it seems crazy for me to go to wedding market two weeks before our wedding, but I obviously still found some more cute stuff for ours. (hahaha) 

I had to go to this market, because this wasn't just any old wedding market (come to think of it, I didn't go to any other bridal shows or wedding markets because none of them really interested me) but Rebash was different - it was basically all of the things that I love packed in to one really cute, colourful, happy place.

Joelle & Jessica are the beautiful ladies behind this whimsical market, and together they created a market that showcased their love for pretty things and event planning. This market was so appealing to me because so many young, creative and inspiring vendors were a part of it. When I saw who was going to be there I was so excited, not to mention the many new and talented people I met during my time there.

It was so fun to walk around and chat with so many wonderful people and to learn about their brand and the incredible things they were doing. Not only was it fun to look (and drool) over pretty things, but it was a really eye opening and inspiring experience for me. The last while (especially while planning our wedding) I've thought a lot about creating decor, hosting and planning events and if this would be something I might want to pursue in the future - and I really think it is! I am really excited to do some brainstorming and dreaming once the wedding and honeymoon is over.

oh hello! + i'm still here! + 13 days 'till the wedding!

h e l l o  +  h a p p y  s u n d a y (!!!)

// You guys, it's been almost one whole month since I blogged (ahhh, so sorry) I cannot believe how fast time is flying and how much fun I am having! It's been an insane couple of months. Things have been really busy, mostly with really wonderful things.

I went to VEGAS for my Bachelorette with my best babes. It was actually the most fun EVER! I still can't believe we did it! We went on adventures, danced (and drank) our faces off, hung by the pool, made lots of new friends, went to thunder from down under (omfg, best ever), laughed until we cried, went target (died), stayed up all night, went to park on fremont, explored old vegas and just had the most wonderful time ever.

We are now less than two weeks away from our wedding! Can you believe it? I actually can't even. Things are really good, obviously we're still busy little bee's preparing, finalizing and putting the cute, sparkly finishing touches on everything, but we're loving every second of it!

Everything that is left to do at this point is our crafty finishing touches. (almost) everything we're using for decor was a DIY project/something we spent some extra time creating. This is my last week of work before the wedding! The week of the wedding will be a lot of prepping for the big day, and pampering too ♥ 

Pete & I are heading for our Honeymoon the day after our wedding! Spain & England, we are beyond excited to be coming for you. We're super excited to be leaving the day after the wedding for the trip. It's going to be an insane couple of weeks, but we're ready(!!!)

wedding planning + my cinema lightbox + liiiiiiife!

Oh hello there beautiful. I'm still here despite my best efforts of maintaining an online presence right now. We are now 38 days away from our wedding (omg, what? how?) and things are getting SO real and exciting.

Not going to lie, at this point pretty much all of my life is being spent doing wedding related things. I am constantly updating to-do lists, crafting, sending texts to my bridesmaids, emailing with vendors, picking up things we need, making Pete sit down and go over things with me (hahaha...he does love it though)

I know I have said it already and everyone can agree, but planning a wedding is a lot of work! It's kinda crazy the way it all works - as soon as you get engaged it's all hustle and bustle and excitement to choose a wedding date and of course a venue. After that there is some serious chill time, you've still got wedding on your mind but no pressure or real urgency. When you get about six months from the day, you kinda start getting your butt in gear and hammering out some details, confirming vendors etc. Then, when you hit about two-three months to go - things get legit crazzzzy! There is literally ALWAYS something to do.

I love planning and organizing things and of course crafting, so I've really been enjoying every minute of the planning process. I will admit I have been feeling a bit more stressed and busy busy as normal, but it's kinda awesome. I've got some serious lists to crush by the end of the week but I am so beyond up for the challenge!

I have to admit, it's been tough not to share all of the adorable things we've bought and/or made for the wedding that I am SO excited for. Butttttttt, this one couldn't wait! Can we please talk about how amazingly perfect this little marquee sign is? My Cinema Lightbox is too amazing! We bought one for our office at work & I instantly fell in love. Any excuse to force positive quotes on anyone and everyone, am I riiiiiight? They have black letters, rainbow letters & yeah you see it there, EMOJIS!

I cannot wait to use my Lightbox at our wedding! Legit can't even decide what to put on it (perhaps we will change it throughout the day/night? #DoMore) Oh and wait until you see what it looks like when it's lit up! I will be posting more photo's soon.

Whish Wedding - Part Seven, Our Engagement Photos

Oh, hello there! It's been a while since I gave you guys a little wedding update! Now that Summer is over and the year is coming to an end, we've been kicking it in to high gear to try and get some things crossed of our wedding to do list. Things are looking great and we have a lot of the big things checked off our list, but still lots to do! We are now LESS THAN 7 months away (omfg) from our big day.

A few weeks ago we had the pleasure of doing some engagement photos with our amazing photographer Jess! (check out her website!) Her and her hubby Jose (both of which have been friends of ours for a long time) met us downtown on a beautiful sunny Sunday afternoon. I knew a perfect place I wanted to snap some photo's and that was at the most amazing and cute-as-can-be record store in Toronto - Sonic Boom ♥

Pete and I were a bit nervous and worried about being awkward in our photo's but we had so much fun! Jess and Jose made us feel comfortable and made us laugh and we had a lot great moments. Pete and I are so happy with how the photo's turned out! After spending some time in the record store, we grabbed some coffees and walked around the city to find some other spots.
