enjoying every moment - paris

On the topic of a new year & a fresh start - Something I want to really remember to focus on is enjoying every single moment. Sometimes we get caught up in the business of our lives that we forget to focus on life's simple treasures, in which there are SO many.

This past May, my babe and I went to Paris (swoon) and it was such a beautiful and magical trip. I absolutely adore Paris in so many ways. I really feel that when we were there, we savoured and cherished every moment. We ate so much delicious food, drank unbelievable coffee and perfect wine. I just had to photograph these special moments.

Well hello there! Or should I say Bonjour?

So far I've shared two Paris blog posts with you, and tonight I am delighting you with my third!

It's undeniable that one of Paris' best known wonders is the food! Obvi. We had some of the best meals I have ever eaten in my life! Simply devine.

There are a lot of things I love about Paris, and one of them is the art of going out to eat. Typically the french don't eat until after 9pm, which definitely took some getting used to! The restaurants normally don't even open until after 7pm and if you go at that time they are empty. Our first few days we realized that everyone started coming in as we were about to leave. Once we got the feel for the late meal times, we began to enjoy it a lot more. It's so lovely because when people go out to eat, they alllllways buy a bottle of wine, then sit and enjoy three dishes, and definitely always finish it off with dessert, and usually a coffee too. Did I mention that every friggin' meal comes with a bottomless pit of fresh bread?

I love the idea of really sitting down and enjoying your food but more so your company. It's a great way to look at it really. You go out for dinner with your boyfriend, family, friends or whom ever, and you sit there with them, and chat, and laugh and just enjoy. I LOVE it.

if you had the chance to read my last post (my first paris post) you saw that i was totally swooning over the beautiful fresh flowers in paris! as if i needed any more reasons to love paris, they had the most gorgeous flowers everywhere! always such a perfect smell. i was so in love, here are a few of my favourite flower child shots of the beauty i got to enjoy, hope you do too! ♥

so tonight i got home from work (at like 8:30pm) and pete said "aw babe, did you have a rough day?" & i said it wasn't rough, just busy! and he said because...

"we're going to paris!"

& then we hugged for like...ever!

lolz. yeyeyeyeye! we still need to do a few more things, but it's looking like we are going so i am so so so happy! life it too short to not just live it! right? i have the rest of my life to be a grown up. so for now, it's all about living it up, travelling, and going on adventures with my favourite person in the entire world! *sigh* // more posts coming very soon!
