tell me something good + happy november

g  o  o  d     t  h  i  n  g  s

Happy first day of November! I've been getting in the habit of doing little updates more often and it's been lovely. So much happens between my posts and it's nice to kinda share some love and fun about what's happening in my life.

Here are some good things to share with y'all:

// Cali Love - Pete and I are in planning mode and are so pumped. We've booked our flights, car, and places to stay for most destinations and I am honestly beyond excited to go back to California! More about our trip and plan coming soon!

// Podcastin' - On Monday I took a fun workshop on launching a podcast. Yes, I already have one but there is so much more to learn and that really inspired me to get my sh*t together and there are lots of exciting things to come.

// #BOOKS - I am SO excited because this weekend I am going to the Penguin Books Warehouse sale with my big bros. My brother Dave works at Penguin and is taking us. Books are cheap cheap cheap and I am gong to stock up for the winter and for gifts too!

// Target - Ohhhh baby. I have no words to describe how excited I am to go to Target. I am heading there next weekend with my bffs and I can't wait for a girls road trip and trip to Buffalo featuring several Target locations (we're obsessed)

// Netflix - Ok I know Halloween is over but if you like scary stuff, you should definitely watch The Haunting Of Hill House. Pete and I watched it and I personally thought it was SO good. But also really really really scary so don't say I didn't warn you!

// Hygge Sundays - Now that it's officially fall weather and the days are getting shorter and it's all chilly out, it's time for hygge season! Pete and I are starting a new thing where Sundays are hygge days! We drink coffee, clean, make dinner, get cozy, and enjoy perfectly lovely and quiet moments together.

tell me something good!

//   h a p p y   s u n d a y
I thought it hadn't been that long since I last posted and then realized it had been almost three weeks! Oopsssss. But, here we are! And I thought it'd be a good time to give y'all a little life update because so much has been happening and life is so so good!

I really love doing these little life updates as a wrap up of what has been happening, so here we go!

+ Podcassst life! The first two episodes of Confetti Culture are now live! Omgggg, I can't believe it. I actually just recorded episode three today and am really excited to get up this week.

+ THE SINNER! Soooo, this weekend was one of our only weekends this Summer with "no plans" and yesterday we started watching The Sinner on Neflix because we had both really wanted to see it and it just got added to Canadian Netflix.

+ Leo Love Just celebrated my birthday (10 days ago) and it was so special. I'm not gonna lie, I was kind of dreading it this year but I felt so much love and kindness from everyone that my heart was honestly going to explode.

+ #LoveWhereYouWork and while I am on the topic of my birthday and feeling the love. My coworkers did the cutest stuff in the world for me. They covered my entire desk in confetti, glitter, balloons and rosé. They all signed multiple cards for me with the kindest words, they made me balloon fairy wings (lol) and showered me with so much love. They are literally the best.

+ Florence & the Machine! Pete got me tickets to see Florence in October and I am honestly so excited I could cry, lol. I have been listening to her (even more than usual) non stop for the past few weeks and she makes me happy.

+ FALL ♥ // ok so don't get me wrong I love Summer, but I am so so ready for cooler, cosier weather to arrive. I love fall and all the things that come with it. I am ready for Hygge to be here in full force and for things to get a bit quieter and more chill.

Hoping to find the time and energy to post a bit more for you all very soon. Thanks for your patience!

tell me something good

oh hello there, happy friday! also, happy canada day (+ 4th of july)

It's been a while since I did a fun little life update // good thing round up! Well, it seems as though I blinked and June was over, so here we are! Summer is in full force. Not gonna lie, as of now, this Summer is not quite as crazy as it has been the last few years so that is very exciting!

I love sharing fun little things happening or that I love, so here we go :

+ Happy on Mondays! // I am beyond excited to share I am going to be doing a talk all about happiness on Monday, July 30th! I am so so excited about this. I will be talking all about living a life filled with happiness and positivity and how I got to where I am now doing a job that revolves around making people happy.

+ Carpool Karaoke with Paul McCartney // This is actually one of my favourite things on the internet. I love Paul so much. As a huge Beatles fan, this def made me tear up a few times. CUTE AF.

+ Wedding fever! Did you know that I am planning five weddings this year? (oh. em. gee)  It's so much fun but definitely a lot of work. I am learning from every single one I do, and it's definitely keeping me on my toes and keeping me creative. We'll see if I continue to do them next year!

Do you like scary movies? Pete, my bro and his bf went to see Hereditary a few weeks ago and it was pretty awesome. Def has some really perfectly scary moments for sure

+ Podcastin' // I'm sure I've mentioned this a few times on my blog and definitely my Instagram, but I am starting a podcast! I've got the name picked (eeee, I love it) and have some somewhat of a plan, and now I just need to figure out the deets on the actual recording part, but it's coming...very soon.

+ This song on repeat // Soooo, do you ever just fall in love with a song? And you basically just can't stop listening to it, all day every day? Loving is Easy by Rex Orange County is totally my song of the Summer (and probably beyond! It makes me so happy :)

Enjoy your long weekend and celebrating whatever you're celebrating!

tell me something good!

Oh heyyyyyy there! Happy Wednesday! Is it just me, or are the days and weeks flying by in literally seconds? It's insane. There's so much going on, and so many awesome things.

It's been a while since I've been able to give a little life update and just straight up chat about some great things, because why the heck not? The longer I've been blogging, the more I realize that it doesn't really matter what I post, as long as I'm happy with it. I think this kind of segment will be something I do more often, just sharing the love, ya know!?

And for that exact reason, I present to you some good f*cking things:

+ America by Childish Gambino - Ok, I just can't stop. I want to listen to this song all day everyday. I want to watch the video, I want to tweet at Childish Gambino, I want to shout from the rooftops "this song is everythingggg"

+ Toronto Flower Market - Ooooh baby. It's back, and there's even more than ever before. The Toronto Flower Market is honestly one of my favourite things about Spring/Summer in Toronto. Gimme all 'dem fresh flowers (and please let their be peonies!) I'm super excited to take my mom there this Saturday!

+ We're going to Montreal - I'm SO pumped for this. Pete and I are heading to Montreal for the long weekend and we couldn't be more excited. We've both never explored the city and we can't wait to wander around. We're taking the train there and then flying home, and will be eating a lot of bagels, poutine and drinking all of the coffee.

+ BBQ SZN - It's finally nice out in Toronto (knock on wood!) and Pete and I just filled the propane tank for the BBQ. It's only been a week and dinners have proven to be effing delicious and it feels like we have a world of options! I'm going to be sharing some fun recipes soon on the blog!

+ Buffalo + Hotel Henry - Pete and I headed to Buffalo for the day/night a few weeks ago for a little pick-me-up/Target run (lol) We found this super cool and trendy hotel to stay at there called "Hotel Henry" it was just gorgeous and had so much character and you should definitely stay there if and when you ever go to Buffalo.

+ Edit Seven - Tonight at the event I was at, I got to chat with the lovely Gracie Carroll for a long while. She's so awesome and I am so excited to follow along her new adventure at Edit Seven because my goodness is it ever a breath of fresh air and something we needed here in Toronto (and Canada!)

+ Last year my mom and I went on a little mother/daughter trip and it's becoming an annual thing because why the heck wouldn't it be? I am SO pumped because we're headed to The June Motel next month! (in June, how fitting!) I've wanted to check this gorgeous spot out since it opened and I am excited for a mini getaway with my #1 gal.

There you have it, life is good. SO GOOD! Hope you're having a lovely week!
